Airbus in Australia Pacific currently has an opportunity for a Configuration (Technical) Administrator to join our Technical Services team in a permanent full-time position. 

About the role

Reporting to the Team Lead C-130J Tech Services, this role works closely with Commonwealth of Australia (CoA) and relevant Airbus Services and Design Organisation personnel to ensure timely administration of Configuration meetings and reporting.

Key duties and responsibilities of this role include:

• Undertake timely planning and scheduling of meetings including development of agenda's, recording and distribution of the minutes of meetings.
• Control and management of data including software versions.
• Reporting on the status of incoming and outgoing Technical Data from the Airbus Product Lifecycle Management Tool (PLMT).
• Maintenance of Registers and Distribution lists.
• Contribute to the development of Procedures, Work Instructions and Forms.
• Support to other CM functions including Configuration Specialists and Configuration Tech Leads.

About you

To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work towards project outcomes, work autonomously and as part of a team, to tight deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment.

You must be eligible for an Australian Government Security Clearance and have the capacity to satisfy pre-employment medical screening which may include drug and alcohol testing.

The knowledge, skills and experience best suited to this role include:

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build long-lasting, collaborative relationships with other employees.
• A straightforward, confident, and open communicator with the ability to convey messages clearly, concisely and persuasively.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Exceptional organisational and administrative skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Other skills and experience which would be desirable for this role (however not mandatory), include:

• Technical Administration experience with a Product Lifecycle Management Tool, preferably experience with Enovia or similar.
• Knowledge and understanding of Configuration Management, preferably within the Aviation or Defence industry.
• Certificate IV in Office or Business Administration.
• Accreditation / certification from recognised body in Configuration Management.
